Director of Content

TL;DR: I am seeking to hire a rockstar Director of Content. The role is full-time, highly flexible, remote (except for occasional trips within the U.S.), with a base salary of ~$70,000.

About Ben

You’d be working directly with me, so it’s fitting to share a bit about myself…

I received an MBA from Cornell University and previously worked as a Fortune 500 consultant. I spend most of my time in Woodstock, Vermont, where I live with my partner. I enjoy all things outdoor activities—from hiking to stargazing to s’mores making.

The Role & Responsibilities

  • Content Research & Ideation: Work with Ben to develop content ideas for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and the System Sunday newsletter.
  • Content Management & Analytics: Maintain a 2-week buffer for content on all social platforms, oversee distribution, use analytics to understand audience behavior, report on metrics, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Newsletter Growth & Monetization: Manage the growth of our weekly newsletter, drive organic and inorganic new subscribers, and increase revenue through sponsors and partnerships.
  • Brand Representation and Book Launch Support: Coordinate speaking, podcast, and media opportunities. Strategize and execute marketing initiatives for the book.
  • Community Building: Champion community nurturing through audience engagement on social media, live events, webinars, etc.
  • Documenting the Journey: Create behind-the-scenes content of brand milestones, events, and in-person workshops.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’re an excellent writer and communicator. As a fluent English speaker, your writing is clear and compelling. 
  • You have an eye for design. You can manage both the creative and operational sides of content production. You have some experience working with graphic design tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • You pay attention to detail. You take pride in your work—always proofreading and polishing everything you touch. You do your best to anticipate and identify improvement opportunities.
  • You are organized. You use systems and tools like Google Drive, Evernote, and Notion to stay organized in your work and life.
  • You are passionate about personal development. You enjoy engaging with self-improvement books, TED Talks, and educational documentaries. You stay intellectually curious. 
  • You get stuff done. You are proactive and resourceful. You solve problems flexibly and creatively as they arise.
  • You’re a hard worker. You don't mind working evenings and weekends if the occasion calls for it.
  • You have a positive attitude. You energize those around you.
  • You are located in the U.S. and can travel to the Miami area every 3-4 months or to other locations within the U.S. (at my expense) for team retreats and in-person collaboration.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: ~$70,000 plus bonus (depending on your experience)
